Chuck E. Cheese's is a family entertainment center located in the Dix-Toledo Plaza in Southgate, Michigan. This location previously featured the 3-stage show.

History[]

This location's roots go back to March 9, 1982, when it first opened as a Showbiz Pizza Place. Like most SPPs, this location had the all-too-familiar "Rock-A-Fire Explosion" shows and stage.

In 1991, as part of the nationwide "Concept Unification" process (which was set in motion to convert all Showbiz restaurants in America to Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants), the Southgate Showbiz Pizza was shut down and was shortly reopened as a Chuck E. Cheese.

Unfortunately, the 3-stage show and animatronic band were removed during restaurant renovations around late 2019- early 2020. These renovations were part of an ongoing plan from the company that is called 2.0 involving removing all animatronic shows from their locations and putting a light up dance floor which features guest appearances from employees in Chuck E. Cheese character costumes in its place.
